I’m Jake, and my wife Courtney and our son Tate live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

Home Building is in my blood, you might say. One of my grandfathers was a builder and the other an architect, and my Dad is also a builder.

It all started for me in January 2007, when I left school to start my Certificate 2 Carpentry Pre-apprenticeship. By September of the same year I had started my Carpentry Cert 3 apprenticeship as a Highly regarded HIA apprentice employed directly by HIA and working on projects all over the Sunshine Coast. I worked on everything from town house projects to luxury hinterland mansions, with one luxurious home in the hinterland taking 14 months alone to construct.

In the years that followed, I worked for several large scale builders on the Sunshine Coast mainly in the role of new home sales. Having a trade background was helpful in supporting people to create their new homes, and being a part of large scale building companies taught me valuable skills.

I saw a gap within the home building market, where clients were becoming part of a mass-produced machine and the personal one on one experience was being lost. This is what ultimately lead me to start what has now become Lifestyle Homes QLD. We have six employees based on the Sunshine Coast and we pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and the experience of knowing our clients. Our focus is new construction homes and I work face to face with all of my clients to directly understand what they need in their custom homes. I believe that working closely together builds mutual trust, respect and ultimately produces their perfect home.
